Kebbi Assembly Speaker Muhammad Usman Zuru Dies in Egypt

Muhammad Usman Zuru, the Speaker of the Kebbi State Assembly, has passed away in Egypt while receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness. His health condition worsened after he was flown abroad for medical care following the conclusion of the Ramadan fast.

The Kebbi State Government, represented by officials including Ismail Adebayo and Governor Nasir Idris, expressed deep sorrow over the loss. Abdullahi Zuru, a representative from Zuru constituency, described the death as a rude shock and a painful loss not only for Kebbi State but for the entire nation.

The government is expected to release an official statement regarding the circumstances surrounding his passing and the arrangements for his burial, which will be coordinated in consultation with his family.
