Kebbi Governor Idris Mourns Speaker Muhammad Zuru's Death

Kebbi State Governor Idris reacted with deep sorrow to the death of the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Zuru, who died on April 6, 2026, while receiving treatment for a prolonged illness. The Clerk of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Suleiman Shamaki, confirmed the news.

Governor Idris described Zuru's death as a monumental loss for both the state and the nation, highlighting his dedication, humility, and service as a true patriot and a pillar of legislative stability. He noted that Zuru's calm disposition and mature handling of state affairs were invaluable, and his passing creates a significant vacuum in Kebbi's leadership.

The governor prayed for Allah to forgive Zuru's shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdau, offering strength to Zuru's family and the people of Kebbi State. Zuru, born on April 5, 1970, is survived by his wife and five children.

Idris remarked that Zuru's contributions to public service would be remembered for years to come.
