Kebbi Assembly Speaker Muhammad Usman Ankwe Laid to Rest

Muhammad Usman Ankwe, the late Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, was laid to rest on Thursday in his hometown of Zuru. He passed away at the age of 56 after a prolonged illness.

His remains were transported from Cairo, Egypt, en route to Abuja for the funeral. The funeral prayer was led by Chief Imam of Zuru, Liman Suleiman Tanko, and was attended by a large gathering of mourners, estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands.

Notable attendees included Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, Deputy Governor Umar Abubakar Tafida, Emir of Zuru Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, and various political figures, including former Governor Muhammadu Adamu Aliyu and former Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen.
