Kebbi Hisbah Arrests Six in Hotel Raid for Immoral Conduct

On May 14, the Kebbi Hisbah Board conducted a raid at a hotel located behind the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi, resulting in the arrest of six individuals, comprising three men and three women, including a married woman. Sirajo Kamba, the Director of the Shariah Board, confirmed the arrests in a statement issued to journalists on Friday.

The operation was initiated following intelligence reports received from members of the public. Kamba indicated that the individuals arrested were involved in ongoing investigations, and necessary actions would be taken according to the board's regulations.

Preliminary investigations revealed the need for stronger moral upbringing in society, urging parents to closely monitor their children's movements and activities to prevent engagement in behaviors that undermine societal values and dignity.
