Kano Hisbah Board Arrests 16 Youths for Immorality

The Kano Hisbah Board, led by Deputy Commandant Mujahiddeen Aminuddeen, confirmed the arrest of 16 youths on Thursday for engaging in immoral activities. The operation took place at El Kanemi Suit along Yahaya Gusau Road in the Buk Road Danbar Layin Shisha area of Kano.

The apprehended individuals included six men and ten women. This was the first time these individuals had been arrested for such offenses.

The Hisbah Board intends to counsel the offenders, encouraging them to sign an undertaking to refrain from engaging in similar acts in the future. The board will continue to monitor these individuals to promote positive behavior changes.

The Kano Hisbah Board is responsible for enforcing Sharia-related regulations in the state and regularly conducts operations against activities deemed contrary to the moral code, including alcohol consumption and prostitution.
