Kebbi PDP Rejects Kabiru Turaki as Northern Consensus Candidate for PDP Chairmanship

The Kebbi State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the adoption of Kabiru Turaki as the northern consensus candidate for the party's national chairmanship. The rejection was based on the decision being made without proper consultation with the Kebbi chapter and the belief that a suitable candidate should be selected in line with the party's zoning system.

The endorsement of Turaki was done by PDP governors, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, PDP national chairman Umar Damagum, and other northern party leaders. The Kebbi PDP chapter expressed full support for the North West stakeholders' view on the matter.
