Kebbi Speaker Muhammad Zuru Laid to Rest Amid Tributes

Muhammad Zuru, the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, was laid to rest on April 6, 2026, in Zuru following his death in Cairo, Egypt, after a prolonged illness. The burial ceremony, which took place after funeral prayers at Zuru Jumu Mosque at 6:00 PM, was led by Imam Suleiman Tanko.

Dignitaries in attendance included Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, Deputy Governor Umar Abubakar Tafida, Emir of Zuru Muhammadu Sanusi, Senator Adamu Aliero, and former Governor Saidu Dakingari.
