Kebbi Trains Local Government Officers in Digital Communication

The Kebbi State Local Government Service Commission initiated a three-day intensive training program on digital communication for local government officers, which commenced on Tuesday. The training, led by Deputy Director of Social Development and Information, Ahm Idri Abubakar Kalgo, aimed to strengthen digital communication and information management at the grassroots level.

The workshop, held in Sokoto in collaboration with Ubra Community General Enterprises Limited, gathered participants from 21 local government areas. Kalgo emphasized the critical need for effective communication in governance, especially as the government increasingly relies on transparent communication to engage with the populace.

The workshop was designed to equip participants with modern tools to translate government programs into relatable messages for the grassroots, expecting them to provide feedback for improved implementation. Muhammad Garba, the Executive Chairman of the Commission, highlighted the importance of training for enhancing service delivery efficiency.

The training also focused on improving information flow to rural communities, with 63 participants attending and presenting papers during the workshop.
