Kebbi Youth Council Advocates for Youth in Politics

The Kebbi State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, under the leadership of State Chairman Engr. Ahm Khalifa, has advocated for greater youth representation in elective offices as the 2027 general elections approach.

During a rally in Birnin Kebbi, Khalifa praised President Bola Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris for their infrastructural developments and called for active support to encourage young people to contest for political positions. He emphasized that youth participation is crucial for sustaining democracy and national development.

Khalifa urged the state government to implement various youth-focused initiatives, particularly empowerment programs and social safety net policies, which would positively impact young people. He also cautioned against the use of violence during elections, urging the youth to uphold democratic values and reject any unpatriotic actions driven by overzealous politicians.

Khalifa reaffirmed the council's unwavering support for the leadership of Tinubu and Idris while encouraging youths to prepare for active participation in the upcoming elections.
