Kebbi State Warns Pilgrims Against Misconduct for 2026 Hajj

The Kebbi State government, led by Governor Nasir Idris, has issued a warning to intending pilgrims against any form of misconduct during the upcoming 2026 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. This warning was articulated by Faruk Aliyu Yaro Enabo, the Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrim Welfare Agency, during the inauguration of a disciplinary sub-committee.

The sub-committee, which is part of the security committee, is tasked with handling issues related to the conduct of pilgrims. Khalifah Mukhtar Usman, the Grand Qadi of Kebbi, is responsible for ensuring good conduct among the pilgrims.

In addition, Umar Muhammad Hadeija, the Chairman of the security sub-committee, will oversee security matters leading up to the departure of pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia. Ahmad Ja Afar Jega, the Amirul Hajj and a retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, urged members to maintain confidence in the governor's leadership and to perform their duties diligently to ensure a successful pilgrimage.
