NAHCON Praises Kebbi's 2026 Hajj Airlift Preparations

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has expressed satisfaction with Kebbi State's readiness for the airlift of pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj. During an inspection of Hajj facilities in Birnin Kebbi, NAHCON Chairman Ambassador Isma'il Ahmad assessed the state's preparations alongside Muhammad Usman, the North West Zonal Commission Chairman.

Ahmad noted that Kebbi has implemented perfect arrangements worthy of emulation, ensuring a hitch-free and flawless Hajj exercise nationwide. Faruku Aliyu Yaro, Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrim Welfare Agency, informed the NAHCON delegation that all arrangements have been completed, meeting the prerequisites for conducting the Hajj exercise.

The airlift is scheduled to commence on May 2, 2026, from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi. The state has also ensured that pilgrims have paid their fares, secured travel documents, including visas, and undergone medical screenings to prevent any disqualifications by Saudi authorities due to underlying health issues.
