Kwara Group Urges APC to Consider Youth for Guber Ticket

In Kwara State, a group has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership to consider youth candidates for the 2027 governorship ticket. Comrade Muhammad Abdulwari Adangba made this appeal in Ilorin while speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the upcoming APC primaries scheduled for May 23.

He emphasized the importance of youth involvement in politics, advocating for their increased participation and inclusion to challenge the old political order. Adangba specifically mentioned Captain Ahmad Mahmoud, a successful aviation engineer and philanthropist, as the youngest APC governorship aspirant in Kwara State.

He highlighted Mahmoud's contributions to education and community development through the Cam Foundation, which provides scholarships and support to students across the state. Adangba praised the current governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for giving young people opportunities to serve in government.

The group expressed optimism that Mahmoud could effectively represent the youth and bring a fresh perspective to the political landscape in Kwara.
