Kebbi’s security challenges demand immediate attention – Chief of Air Staff

Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar, highlighted the urgent need to address the security challenges in Kebbi State during a recent meeting with Governor Nasir Idris. Abubakar expressed concern over the escalating insecurity in the state, emphasizing the potential threat to peace in the region.

He acknowledged the unique security challenges posed by Kebbi's vast landscape and border with neighboring countries. The Chief of Air Staff commended the performance of Air Force personnel in the state and assured the governor of increased aerial surveillance to combat terrorist threats and restore safety.

Governor Idris urged the Federal Government to establish a permanent Air Force base in Kebbi to enhance the state's defense capabilities. He also emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration with the Nigerian Army in addressing security issues.

The governor praised the Air Force for their swift response to bandit attacks and expressed readiness to support their efforts.
