APC Celebrates Taraba Governor's Defection as Major Political Win

The All Progressives Congress (APC) hailed the defection of Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefa from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) as a major political victory.

Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the APC state chairman, welcomed Governor Kefa to the party during a formal reception in Jalingo, the state capital. The APC sees Kefa's move as an opportunity to align Taraba State with the federal government, particularly under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Kefa emphasized that joining the APC signifies a new beginning and urged others to follow suit for the state's development. Vice President Kashim Shettima praised Kefa's decision, calling on the people of Taraba State to support the governor in delivering progress and development.

The defection ceremony attracted several political figures, including APC governors, members of the National Assembly, ministers, and party leaders.
