Kidnappers Execute Oyo Teachers to Pressure Government

In a tragic incident in Oyo State, kidnappers executed two teachers, Mr. Michael Oyedokun and Mr.

Esiyan Adegboy, to exert pressure on the government to fulfill their demands. Mr.

Rachael Alamu, the principal of a school in Oriir Local Government Area, disclosed these details following the rescue of the victims after 56 days in captivity. Mr.

Oyedokun, a mathematics teacher, was beheaded, while Mr. Adegboy, aged 49, was shot dead during the initial attack.

Alamu stated that the kidnappers intended to increase pressure on the authorities by killing the teachers, hoping to force the government to comply with their demands. The victims were subjected to harsh conditions, enduring exposure to the elements and trauma during their captivity.

After their rescue, they received medical treatment and psychosocial care. Governor Seyi Makinde visited the victims as part of the recovery support efforts.
