Elba later expressed his gratitude on his Instagram page, thanking the King and highlighting his commitment to supporting young people through various charitable initiatives, including his role as a goodwill ambassador for the King's Trust. This recognition was first announced in the 2026 New Year Honours list.

Elba, who co-founded the Elba Hope Foundation in 2022 to support diaspora communities and expand opportunities for young people, attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace earlier this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the King's Trust, where he and King Charles shared a moment behind the DJ booth.
