Kogi Commissioner Fanwo Celebrates KSBC's 35th Anniversary

At the 35th anniversary celebration of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation (KSBC), Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, reaffirmed the state government's commitment to strengthening KSBC and enhancing its relevance in the digital age. The event, themed “The Voice of the Confluence: 35 Years of Impact,” held special significance for Fanwo due to his late mother, Mrs. Titilayo Aliu, having been a staff member of KSBC.

He expressed a sense of responsibility to preserve and advance the legacy of the Corporation. Fanwo assured continued support for KSBC, highlighting the importance of functional infrastructure and reliable electricity for effective broadcasting.

He noted that the state government had upgraded KSBC’s transmitters and was addressing power challenges to improve service delivery. Alhaji Mohammed Bello, the chairman of the anniversary celebration and retired Zonal Director of FRCN, commended KSBC for its resilience over 35 years and urged expansion into new media platforms to cater to younger audiences.
