80 Escaped, 86 Still Captive in Kurmin Wali Church Abduction - Village Head Confirms

In Kurmin Wali, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, 80 worshippers managed to escape while 86 remain in captivity following an abduction during a church service. The Village Head, Ishaku Dan Azumi, clarified the numbers after initial reports suggested 177 worshippers were kidnapped.

He highlighted the emotional and psychological trauma experienced by the families and urged against politicizing the incident. The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, is set to release a comprehensive report on the abduction.

Concerns have been raised about the safety of the remaining captives and the need for swift action by the government and military to ensure their rescue.
