KWAM 1: NAAPE Urges NCAA To Reinstate Suspended ValueJet Pilots

The National Association of Aircraft Pilots Engineers (NAAPE) has urged the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to reinstate the suspended ValueJet pilots involved in the tarmac incident with Fuji music icon KWAM 1 on August 5. NAAPE called for an open, transparent, and unbiased investigation into the incident at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, where KWAM 1 delayed a flight, leading to the suspension of the captain and first officer.

The association condemned KWAM 1's behavior as crude, unruly, and arrogant, emphasizing the importance of safety and security in aviation. NAAPE insisted that the singer should face the full wrath of the law and called on Nigerians to cooperate with lawful authorities to prevent future incidents.

KWAM 1 expressed regret for his actions and the aviation ministry placed him on a 6-month list, acknowledging his role in the incident.
