Kwankwaso, Atiku Loyalists Endorse Obi for 2027 Election

On Friday in Abuja, loyalists of former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar endorsed Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, for the 2027 general elections. This endorsement was announced during a coalition meeting attended by members of the Obidi Movement, Kwankwasiyya Movement, and Atiku Support Group.

Habibu Muhammad, the spokesman for the Kwankwasiyya Movement, emphasized Obi's proven leadership credentials and commitment to national development, asserting that the 2027 elections would be a political revolution where the common man would determine their fate. Muhammad highlighted Kwankwaso's achievements in education and governance, arguing that Nigeria requires leaders with a track record rather than experimental candidates.

Obinna Okori, a coordinator for the Atiku Support Group, noted that the coalition's decision was influenced by the changing political dynamics in Nigeria and the respect Obi commands among the populace. Yunusa Tanko, representing the Obidi Movement, expressed optimism about the coalition's strength and unity moving forward.
