Kwankwasiyya Movement Denies Leader's Alleged Defection to APC Amid Speculations

The Kwankwasiyya Movement strongly denies rumors of its leader, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The movement clarifies that there have been no negotiations or demands made by Sen. Kwankwaso to defect to the APC, emphasizing his long-standing political relationships across party lines.

The movement's spokesperson, Dr. Habibu Sale Muhammad, expresses concern over the spread of false information and urges journalists to uphold professional standards by verifying facts before publishing.

The last formal meeting between Sen. Kwankwaso and APC leader Bola Ahmed Tinubu occurred in January 2024, with no discussions related to defection or political bargaining.

The movement believes the rumors are part of a coordinated effort to discredit Sen. Kwankwaso and undermine his political relevance.
