Kwankwaso Critiques Kano Government's APC Defection

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, lamented the recent defection of the Kano State government to the All Progressives Congress (APC). He expressed confusion over why Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who was affiliated with the Kwankwasiyya Movement, would suddenly shift allegiance to the APC.

Kwankwaso criticized the Gandujiyya faction, led by former governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for abandoning the Kwankwasiyya structure without a clear rationale. He described this political development as painful and disappointing, urging that only God knows the true reasons behind the shift.

Despite the low voter turnout in recent elections, Kwankwaso congratulated members of the Kano State House of Assembly for their victories. He concluded by stating that the door remains open for Kwankwasiyya supporters, even as the government aligns with the APC.
