Bolarinwa Declares for Kwara Governorship, Prioritizes Security

On Tuesday, Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa formally declared his candidacy for the governorship of Kwara State in the 2027 elections, representing the APC and the Progress Congress. His campaign will prioritize security and human capital development, addressing the rising insecurity in the state, which has seen an increase in banditry, killings, and kidnappings.

Bolarinwa pledged to invest heavily in education, healthcare, and skill development to unlock the potential of the people. He emphasized that safety is non-negotiable and that his administration would comprehensively tackle insecurity to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.

Bolarinwa, who has previously served as a councillor, local government chairman, and member of the National Assembly, highlighted his commitment to building an inclusive Kwara where no part feels marginalized and to strengthening economic opportunities through innovation and agricultural enterprise development.
