Kwara Christians Support Tinubu, Mustapha for 2027 Elections

The Christian Leaders Coalition in Kwara State has publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu's re-election and Saliu Mustapha's candidacy for governor ahead of the 2027 general elections. This announcement was made during an interdenominational prayer gathering in Ilorin.

Pastor Abel Aiyedogbon, a leader within the coalition, stated that their decision reflects a call for an uncommon relationship with Mustapha, who has a 40-year history of public service in the state. The coalition emphasized the need for spiritual discernment as the political season approaches, aiming to mobilize support across communities in Kwara State.

Pastor Jacob Jonathan Elegun highlighted the importance of inclusivity in leadership, while Rev. V.S. Dada led prayers for peace and unity.

The coalition's efforts are directed towards ensuring that the Christian community's rights are recognized and supported, despite religious differences, as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
