Kwara Gov's Spokesman Ajakaye Announces Reps Bid

Rafiu Ajakaye, who currently serves as the Chief Press Secretary to Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has declared his intention to run for a seat in the House of Representatives representing the Ifelodun, Offa, and Oyun Federal Constituency. Ajakaye made this announcement via a short Yoruba video posted on social media, appealing for support from party leaders and stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His decision follows extensive consultations with party stakeholders and thought leaders both within and outside the constituency. Ajakaye emphasized his qualifications, including his PhD, and expressed a commitment to represent the constituency effectively, strengthen governance, and improve the delivery of democratic dividends to the people.

He urged party leaders and members to work together to sustain growth and development in the region as he prepares for the upcoming APC primary elections.
