Kwara State Suspends School Graduation Ceremonies

The Kwara State Government has announced the suspension of all public and private school graduation ceremonies across the state, citing security concerns. This decision was communicated through a letter signed by Mr.

Bunmi Osanupin, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, and addressed to the chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Raheem Adaramaja.

The letter, made available to journalists in Ilorin on Friday, emphasized the need to ensure safety and maintain discipline within school environments amid prevailing security situations in the state. School proprietors, principals, and headteachers are required to comply strictly with this directive.

The government has warned that any school found violating this order will face appropriate sanctions as per existing regulations. The letter serves as an advisory guide to ensure adherence to the directive.
