Kwara State Deploys 1,000 Forest Guards to Combat Banditry and Terrorism

Kwara State has launched a significant security operation by deploying 1,000 forest guards to tackle banditry and terrorism. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq described this move as a game-changer in the fight against criminal elements exploiting forest areas.

The initiative aims to strengthen public safety and combat violent crimes, with a focus on reclaiming Nigeria's forests. The newly trained forest guards will work alongside existing security forces to rid the state of criminal activities.

The effort received praise from President Bola Tinubu and involves rigorous training programs led by security agencies and national security advisors like Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
