One Killed in Clash Between Forest Guards and Bandits in Kwara State

In Kwara State, a clash between forest guards and suspected armed bandits resulted in the death of one person identified as Samuel. The incident took place in the Sundai Koro community in Ekiti Local Government Area.

The forest guards, working alongside local vigilantes, received intelligence about the presence of armed bandits in the bush. During the encounter, Samuel was shot and later confirmed dead.

The forest guards were reportedly ambushed by the suspects, leading to a confrontation where one forest guard was killed. The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, confirmed the incident, stating that it was not a direct attack on the Koro community but a clash between the forest guards and the suspected gunmen.
