Kwara Governor Advocates AI Partnerships and Ethics

During the 4th Biennial International Conference jointly organized by the Faculty of Communication Science at the University of Ilorin and the Faculty of Philology at Rudn University, Russia, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq urged for partnerships in artificial intelligence (AI) and the establishment of ethical regulations for emerging technologies. He emphasized the necessity of building human capacity to effectively utilize AI in line with the state's goals.

AbdulRazaq noted that Kwara aims to become a credible destination for technological investment and talent development in West Africa. In a keynote address, Bashir Adeniyi, Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service, discussed the digital revolution's impact on society and highlighted the growth of electronic payment transactions in Nigeria, projected to reach N1.07 quadrillion by 2024.

The conference provided a platform for scholars and professionals to explore the coexistence of humans and AI, promoting innovation and ethical advancements in technology.
