Kwara State and UNICEF Launch Integrated Health Campaign for Pregnant Women and Children

Kwara State, in collaboration with UNICEF, initiates a health campaign aimed at improving maternal and child health by targeting one million pregnant women and children above nine years old. The campaign, scheduled from November 29 to December 3, 2025, across 16 local government areas, focuses on providing vital healthcare services such as HPV vaccination, routine immunizations, deworming, and nutrition supplements.

Key officials like Professor Nusirat Elelu and Dr. Michael Oguntoy emphasize the importance of the campaign in reducing mortality rates and promoting preventive healthcare measures.

Dr. Ahm Tsofo from UNICEF commends the state government's support and highlights the significance of polio vaccination in safeguarding children's health.
