Kwara State Polytechnic Expels 42 Students for Malpractice

The Management of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has expelled 42 students due to their involvement in examination malpractice. A statement from Mr. Ibrahim Esin, Principal Assistant Registrar of the Academic Board Matters Division, confirmed that the students were found guilty after an investigation by the Polytechnic Examination Malpractice Committee.

This action aligns with the Polytechnic Students’ Handbook provisions. The expelled students include 31 from Higher National Diploma (HND) programs and 11 from National Diploma (ND) programs.

Specifically, 8 students were from the Institute of Technology (IOT), 4 from the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT), 23 from the Institute of Finance and Management Studies (IFMS), 2 from the Institute of Health Technology (IHT), 1 from the Institute of General Studies (IGS), and 4 from the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE).
