Labour Party Sets National Convention Date for April 28

The Labour Party has officially set the date for its National Convention to take place on April 28 in Umuahia. This announcement was made by the party's interim national chairman, Ken Asogwa, on Tuesday.

The party has also released a timeline for its upcoming congresses, with ward congresses scheduled for April 23, local government congresses on April 24, and state congresses on April 26. Asogwa noted that a sub-committee, composed of experienced party members, will oversee the conduct of these congresses.

The committee includes various chairmen from different states, such as Iheanacho Obioma from Abia, Franci Kim from Adamawa, and Chief Toni Asuoha from Anambra, among others. Asogwa emphasized the importance of fairness, transparency, and integrity throughout the congress process, highlighting the need for equal opportunity and social justice within the party.
