Labour Party Faction Begins Ward Congresses Across Nigerian States, Excluding Abia

The Labour Party faction led by Juliu Abur has initiated ward congresses in Nigerian states, excluding Abia State. The faction's National Public Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, announced the schedule with ward congresses on December 2, local government congresses on December 4, and state congresses on December 6.

However, the Abia State congress has been halted by a court order pending resolution of charges against the state party leadership. The party aims to comply with the court order and has taken legal steps to vacate it.

The Labour Party calls on Nigerians to support the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.
