Labour Party Fades Away - Okonkwo Joins ADC for 2027 Presidential Race

Kenneth Okonkwo, former spokesperson for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, declared that the party no longer exists as a political force in Nigeria. Okonkwo emphasized that the party only survives on paper and lacks the influence to impact future elections.

He cited his resignation from the party in June 2024 due to leadership crises and the inability to provide visionary leadership. Okonkwo accused the party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, of failing to unify its fractured ranks after the defeat to President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 general election.

Okonkwo's alignment with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) signifies a shift in his political allegiance towards the 2027 presidential race.
