Green Channel to Boost Business Efficiency in Lagos Free Zone

Ladoja stated that the Green Channel initiative will significantly enhance operational efficiency for businesses operating within the Lagos Free Zone (LFZ). This initiative will allow for expedited cargo clearance and movement through the Lekki Deep Sea Port, with deliveries expected within 48 to 72 hours once documentation is complete.

The Green Channel aims to reduce uncertainties in the supply chain, lower demurrage and storage costs, and improve product planning, thereby strengthening working capital efficiency and manufacturing time. This will directly impact cost competitiveness across critical industries, fostering growth in sectors such as pharmaceuticals and petrochemicals.

The initiative is designed to provide regulatory certainty and operational efficiency, allowing investors to navigate the reform period confidently. It is anticipated that the Green Channel will catalyze Nigeria's transition towards a manufacturing-led economy, enhancing trade competitiveness and supporting local product value addition, ultimately leading to increased non-oil exports.
