Nigeria Customs Approves "Green Channel" for Lekki Free Zone, Boosting Trade Facilitation

The Nigeria Customs Service has granted approval for a "Green Channel" at the Lekki Free Zone (LFZ), enabling seamless movement of cargo to the Lekki Deep Sea Port. This initiative marks a significant milestone in Nigerian trade facilitation, positioning LFZ as the first zone in the country to operate a sanctioned green channel.

The dedicated corridor within LFZ will streamline logistics operations, offering a competitive edge and reducing capital tie-up and truck wait times. Bashir Adeniyi, a key official, highlighted that the Green Channel will enhance customs visibility, improve investor confidence, and solidify LFZ's advantages, including physical and digital integration with the Lekki Deep Sea Port.
