Lafarge Africa Proposes N96.6bn Dividend for 2025

Lafarge Africa Plc's board of directors has recommended a substantial increase in the dividend payout for the 2025 financial year, proposing a gross dividend of 600 kobo per ordinary share, which is five times higher than the 120 kobo paid in 2024. The total proposed dividend payout for 2025 stands at N96.65 billion, compared to N19.33 billion the previous year.
This recommendation is subject to approval at the company’s upcoming annual general meeting scheduled for April 30, 2026. The sharp rise in dividend payout is attributed to a 53% increase in net sales, reaching N1.07 trillion, and a 103% rise in operating profit to N392 billion.
Lolu Alad Akinyemi, the Chief Executive Officer, highlighted the company's strategic focus on value creation and operational efficiency as key drivers of this performance. The company is also preparing for future opportunities, maintaining a prudent approach to capital allocation and cost management.
