Lafarge Africa's Profit Surges 4-Fold on Strong Cement Sales Growth

Lafarge Africa Plc, a leading building solutions company in Sub-Saharan Africa, has seen a significant surge in profit, with a 246% increase in profit before tax to N207.78 billion for the nine months ending September 30, 2025. The company's revenue grew by 63% to N780.49 billion, primarily fueled by robust cement sales, which accounted for a substantial portion of total sales.

The CEO, Lolu Alade Akinyemi, highlighted the company's operational excellence, innovative product offerings, and agility in responding to market opportunities as key drivers of growth. Lafarge Africa's improved operational efficiency, cost reduction measures, and increased output across its cement plants have contributed to the remarkable financial performance.
