Waste Managers Endorse Hamzat for Lagos Governorship 2027

The Association of Waste Managers in Nigeria officially endorsed Obafemi Hamzat, the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State, for the governorship seat in the upcoming 2027 elections. This announcement was made during a meeting held on Thursday at Mayfair Hall, Alausa.

Olugbenga Adebola, the National President of the association, expressed support for Hamzat, aligning with the position of their grand patron, Bola Tinubu. Adebola highlighted Hamzat's extensive experience and proven leadership capabilities in Lagos State, referencing his roles in various successful administrations, including his contributions to the Commission of Science and Technology and infrastructure development during the tenures of Tinubu and Babatunde Fashola.

He emphasized Hamzat's critical role in advancing infrastructure and technology in Lagos. Adebola further described Hamzat as a leader with strong technical expertise and humility, urging association members and the public to support Hamzat's governorship ambitions, expressing confidence in his vision and capability to contend for the state's top job.
