Lagos Diaspora Endorses Hamzat for Lagos Governorship

Lagosians residing in the diaspora have officially endorsed Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State, for the governorship position ahead of the primaries set for May 21, 2027. This endorsement was made during a press conference held in London on Monday, where Ayodeji Tinubu, the Global Director of the Lagos Diaspora, emphasized Hamzat's extensive experience in governance and his capability as a leader to sustain and expand ongoing reforms in Lagos.

The coalition expressed confidence in Hamzat's ability to address the state's challenges and maintain a steady hand in governance. Bola Tinubu, the President, and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, publicly supported Hamzat's aspirations.

The Lagos Diaspora has mobilized a comprehensive political strategy to support Hamzat's candidacy, showcasing his track record of service and dedication as Deputy Governor, which they believe makes him uniquely qualified to succeed Sanwo-Olu.
