APC Names Damilola Sonayan Jame as Hamzat's Running Mate

Damilola Sonayan Jame has been unveiled as the running mate for Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the APC governorship candidate for Lagos State. The announcement was made by Lagos APC chairman Cornelius Ojelabi on Monday.

Ojelabi emphasized Jame's leadership capabilities, grassroots acceptance, and loyalty to the party, stating that she has distinguished herself through her commitment to service and innovative thinking. Jame, who is 41 years old, has a proven track record in both public and private sectors and has previously served as the supervisor for agriculture and social services in the Badagry West Local Council Development Area.

She is known for championing initiatives focused on agricultural development, women's empowerment, and youth inclusion in education. The APC chairman urged residents to support the party's team, noting that Jame's selection followed a rigorous consultation process.

Hamzat emerged as the APC candidate during the primary elections held on May 21, where he received 657,917 votes.
