Obasa Declares Candidacy for Agege Reps Seat in 2027

Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, officially declared his intention to contest for the Agege Federal Constituency seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This announcement was made on Tuesday during a stakeholders' meeting held in Agege, Lagos.

Obasa's decision to run for a sixth term as a lawmaker follows consultations with party leaders and stakeholders within the constituency, who urged him to seek election to the House of Representatives. He appealed to party members to remain united and committed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as they prepare for the screening process for the primaries across the state.

Additionally, Obasa endorsed former Agege Local Government Chairman Ganiyu Egunjobi to contest for the Agege constituency seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, highlighting Egunjobi's dedication and loyalty to the party. Obasa also indicated his intent to intensify political activities in Agege and mobilize support for various aspirants ahead of the APC primaries.
