Lagos Assembly Steps in to Resolve Royal Gardens Estate-EKEDC Dispute

The Lagos State House of Assembly intervened in the Royal Gardens Estate crisis involving residents and Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC). Following a petition from the Royal Gardens Residents Association (RGERA), the Assembly scheduled a meeting to address the electricity governance dispute.

The community has faced challenges since EKEDC disconnected them from the national grid due to a bulk metering system imposed by the estate developer. Residents have been relying on alternative power sources, leading to a prolonged conflict.

The Assembly's involvement aims to bring all parties together for deliberations and seek a resolution to the ongoing crisis.
