Lagos SWAN Chapter Supports National Electoral Process

The Lagos State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has expressed support for the national SWAN's electoral process. Members of the Lagos SWAN chapter backed the National Executive's call for adherence to the association's statutes during the 2025 Lagos SWAN election.

They criticized the current Lagos SWAN Executive Committee for allegedly convening a "kangaroo congress" and setting up a state electoral committee in violation of SWAN's rules. The chapter members accused the executive of intimidation tactics and improper conduct.

The intervention of the National SWAN was appreciated for ensuring a proper congress was eventually held in Lagos.
