Lagos Entertainment Association Games Set for September 2026

The Lagos Entertainment Association Games and Awards, scheduled to debut in September 2026, has received endorsement from the Lagos State Sport Commission (LSSC). This initiative aims to create an annual platform to promote unity and collaboration within the entertainment industry and recreational activities.

The event will bring together musicians, actors, comedians, DJs, media personnel, and stakeholders from the creative sector. Competitions will include male and female events in football, basketball, athletics, table tennis, relay races, draught, ayo olopon, and dance fitness challenges.

Lekan Fatodu, the Director General of the Lagos State Sport Commission, commended the organizers for their contributions to sports development and youth engagement, aligning with the state's vision of using sports as a tool for social development. The inaugural event will honor notable cultural and sports icons, including Wole Soyinka and Segun Odegbami, and will conclude with an awards gala celebrating contributions to the entertainment and creative industries.
