Lagos State FA League to Kick Off April 21, 2026

The Lagos State FA League will commence on April 21, 2026, as announced during a press briefing held at Teslim Balogun Stadium. The event featured a draw and seminars aimed at engaging stakeholders and educating them on modern club administration.

Wale Joseph, the Chief Executive Officer of Lagos State FA, expressed his delight at the previous season's success, noting no major incidents. This season will see an increase in participation with 20 teams in the male category, up from 14 last season, and 16 teams in the female category, an increase from 12.

The seminars included discussions led by Olayinka Olajid on leveraging social media, Toyosi Oyetunji on public relations, and insights on player insurance from medical experts Tajudeen Sule and Femi Abioy. The league will feature teams drawn from the mainland and will release the fixture schedule closer to the kick-off date.
