Lagos eyes food sufficiency as Sanwo-Olu inspects MLM Agro Hub

Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu, recently inspected the MLM Agro Hub, aiming to enhance food sufficiency in the region. The hub, overseen by Executive Chairman Prince Samuel Joseph, will offer modern storage facilities, a trading floor, and parking for easier access to fresh produce.

This initiative aligns with Lagos' plan to improve food security and reduce waste. Prince Samuel mentioned similar hubs in Agege, Lagos Island, Oregun, Ikorodu, Epe, and Badagry, which will form a central logistics hub to streamline food distribution.

The inspection, attended by Deputy Governor Hamzat and SSG Barrister Bimbola, is part of the N500 billion Produce Lagos initiative under the Lagos Agricultural Roadmap 2021, focusing on achieving food sovereignty and minimizing losses.
