Falana Criticizes Lagos Govt for Unauthorized Demolitions

Human rights lawyer Falana has condemned the Lagos State Government for demolishing over 100 properties in Oworonsoki without court authorization. Justice Adegboyega Balogun of the Lagos State High Court issued an interim order to stop further demolitions and granted a restraining order against the government, agents, and contractors involved.

The affected properties are located on Ojileru Street, Ososa Extension, and Toluwalas Street within the Itesiwaju Ajumoni Community Development Area (CDA). Despite the court order, the demolitions were carried out at night, leading to families being displaced.
