Agboyi-Ketu LG Distributes Food to 1,000 Households

On Thursday, Adetola Abubakar, the Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area in Lagos State, distributed food items to 1,000 vulnerable households under the second edition of the Adetola Food Bank initiative. The event took place at the council secretariat, where beneficiaries received rice, beans, yam, and garri.

Abubakar stated that the initiative aims to provide relief to vulnerable residents and emphasized the importance of grassroots governance. She attributed the success of the program to increased funding from the Federal Government, particularly following the removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu.

Abubakar also mentioned that her administration has facilitated 16 road projects in its first year and is working to improve healthcare delivery. Additionally, she announced that another 1,000 residents would receive N100,000 each under a Renewed Hope cash intervention program the following week.

One beneficiary expressed gratitude for the timely assistance and encouraged others to use the food items to support their households.
