Bariga LCDA Chairman Omope Celebrates First Year in Office

Adedeji Omope, the Executive Chairman of Bariga Local Council Development Area, celebrated his first anniversary in office on Wednesday, pledging to expand infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and social intervention programs. During the event, over 2,000 residents received bags of rice to help mitigate the effects of economic hardship.

Omope expressed gratitude to the residents for their support, emphasizing that the administration's achievements stem from a strong partnership with the community. He highlighted that development initiatives have reached all eight wards of Bariga LCDA without discrimination, ensuring inclusivity regardless of ethnicity, gender, or political affiliation.

Key achievements include investments in road construction, drainage projects, healthcare improvements, and youth empowerment through digital skills training. The council has also collaborated with security agencies to enhance safety and has prioritized environmental sustainability through sanitation and flood prevention measures.

Omope commended various community stakeholders for their contributions to these collective successes.
